I was just talking to Maile about Drive Your Plow. Sounds interesting! I finished The Faculty Lounge this weekend and it felt like a love letter to educators. A good read for me, post-longterm subbing!
I read Their Eyes Were Watching God last year and LOVED it. There are so many good books that I want to read, but really I want to read Their Eyes and I Cheerfully Refuse again. Last year was a year of great reading!
Right now I’m enjoying Good Soil by Jeff Chu and then moving on to Sunrise at the Reaping by request of my daughter. I’m a bit anxious about the Kleenex count.
Thanks to you, I'm reading Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. I laughed a lot at the beginning but now I'm starting to wonder if it's going to keep getting darker as time passes. (Don't tell me! I'm not going to read a synopsis!) Thanks for recommending!
I've never actually read that (it's on my list of to-reads), but I'm planning on reading it this summer at some point while on vacation. I've always been intimidated by the page count! Let me know what you think of it when you finish.

I liked your review of Faculty Lounge!
I’m so glad you finally read North Woods! My favorite novel of 2024 :)
So well-written.

I loved The Mythmakers by John Hendrix. Thanks for sharing this list of books!
That's been a favorite at the store, especially at the end of last year.
