I am thoroughly enjoying the insight to the bookshop life! After all your talk I really cannot wait to pick up a Niall Williams read. I discovered these past few years that I enjoy seasonal reading quite a lot. A lot of winter books are now re-reads for me (atleast for the time being). They include titles like Winter Solstice by Rosamunde Pilcher, 84 Charring Cross Road by Helene Hanff, Let Your Life Speak by Parker Palmer, and Don’t Overthink It by Anne Bogel (it’s a nice refresher at the start of the year). I’m adding a re-read of Frozen River this year as well. I tend to enjoy slow reads in winter and I really look forward to creeping thru books this time of year. I’m really enjoying getting to hear your stories in addition to reading your newsletters! It’s been lovely.
Love this! Good thing I already ordered Time of the Child, or I would have had to order it right now. Also…I need to get a virtual I Cheerfully Refuse book discussion going, because I still need to talk about it with some people. And maybe I need to buy a Tana French when we’re there in February…
