Is Everyone Tired?
Maile and I reflect on the word "Challenge" as we approach two years as bookshop owners
What a week at Nooks. Last Wednesday we had the incredible honor of kicking off Shannan Martin’s book tour for her beautiful book, Counterweights (you can get a signed copy HERE). It was our first sold-out event in our new backroom…
Then Maile hosted her creatives group at the shop on Saturday morning, followed by a wonderful story time with Jessica Yoon, author of the children’s book Jeong is Jeong.
Life is grand and exhausting and hard and filled with so many counterweights.
Today we’re talking about how it feels to actually stop and take a breath. For the last two years we’ve been working through challenges, both imposed and voluntarily taken on. And now we’re thinking about our first two years at Nooks and what the next steps might be.
We also talk about the novel idea that maybe, someday, this shop could be financially successful and support us as a family. What does that look like for Nooks?
You can listen to the whole podcast HERE.
